I don't know if there has been some bug introduced into the LaRouche Discussion Center but I am now getting a McAfee warning every time I try and call up the site in Chrome. I have to temporarily turn off my firewall and I don't see a way to grant entry in the firewall. Has anyone else had this problem? |

It's probably some ad they're running. I could pay to have ads removed except the search engine bots frequent the site so often it would probably end up exhausting the site hits pretty quickly. |

Was this on a phone? I had this problem on a phone running Chrome, would normally get phony looking virus warnings from when the site would be open for a minute or so. After a refresh things were usually fine. Never had the problem on a desktop, but Chrome does warn me that the connection to the site is not secure. |

I get the problem on desktop. I either switch to Edge or turn off the McAfee firewall temporarily. However, your idea that it might be a phony McAfee message makes sense, because usually when I get a warning it allows me to go to the site to override the blockage and permit the site to override the Firewall, but when I try and do it with this list, I cannot. So maybe, even though I have McAfee, this is indeed a false positive, so to speak. I think I accidentally responded to this message by "reporting" it by mistake. |

On my phone the warnings were pretty obviously fake, would actually trigger vibrate and take me to another (scrambled) url altogether, "your phone is infected with four virus!" with long instructions of how to fix it, rampant misspellings and grammar problems, that kind of thing. Call this strange 1-800 number to fix your phone. Happened so often I stopped using Chrome to look at the site. Wonder if the issues are related. |
