As you can see we currently have the default "Invision Power Board" skin. While I think it looks nice enough, we should probably at least replace the generic logo with something else, if not adopt a whole new skin to the forum. |

I agree. At this moment I really sort of completely loathe the whole interface. It just reeks of social media as opposed to a good, old-school discussion forum. The quoting, for instance, would be abysmal for long, threaded discussions. This is my first post and I'm just checking everything out. I'll have more specific suggestions after my first full spin around here, I'm sure. Hope everyone had a great holiday. Bob |

For what it's worth the Invisionfree forum software has operated pretty much exactly the same since 2003, before social media really took off. |

I'm just being a crankpuss cuz it's all new and everything like that. I'm sure I'll be able to customize. In any case, it appears to be one damn notch up from vBulletin in terms of functionality. Bob |

So, anyone have ideas for color layout and whatnot for the forum? |

I'm actually getting pretty comfortable with the forum as-is. The ads (which AdBlock doesn't block) don't even bother me, since they're quickly scrolled by. I'd say all we really need is a graphic logo to replace Invision Power Board. Bob |

This is still an issue (albeit a purely cosmetic one.) As far as forum skins go, it might be amusing if the color scheme were similar to the larouchepac or larouchepub websites. |

Creating a skin that looked similar to their color schemes would be great, but I'm not very in the way of making logos and such. |

My suggestion for a logo is just a big LaRouche [pic] Continued, with that picture of him on LP smiling big with those horrid teeth of his  |

If anyone wants to draw up a new header picture, logo, whatever, let me know and we can get the Invision pro board logo off. Even if it's simple for now. |

What color scheme would you guys prefer: the larouchepac one or the larouchepub one? |

Larouchepac, because it doubtless gets more hits, would be my vote. Bob |

I vote for the LaRouchePAC color scheme as well. |

A significant problem is that Invisionfree's forum (i.e. the forum for all Invisionfree-hosted forums) stopped allowing forum skin requests two years ago, which means that it is difficult for me to actually inform people that this forum is in need of a skin for it, unless I send out unsolicited private messages to anyone who has ever made an Invisionfree skin (which is, of course, a bad idea.) |

Yea, that could be a problem unless you already know of someone whose done it and can relate to the forum's content. It's probably not out of my league doing one but I'm not terribly good at art and graphics on top of that I haven't built a ground up website in 10 years if HTML coding is required. |
